About the project
A quieter place to say you're not OK
It's OK is an experimental, focused AI conversation for people who may benefit from a kind response, a useful next step, or simply a moment to put feelings into words.
What it does now
The current assistant uses OpenAI's Responses API with GPT-5.6 Luna and low reasoning by default. A tightly enforced therapist prompt keeps replies brief, empathetic, practical, and within mental-health and psychology support. It can use an approximate country or city to reply in a likely local language and make local support suggestions more relevant.
It is not a diagnosis service and it does not replace a qualified human professional. When human support is the better next step, the assistant points people toward the mental-health services directory.
Designed to disappear
Conversations exist only in the open page's memory. There is no chat database, account history, local storage, or server-side chat archive. OpenAI response storage is disabled. Reloading, leaving, or clearing the chat removes the conversation from the app.
The full details—including how approximate localization is handled—are in the privacy policy.
Bounded on purpose
The assistant is deliberately unable to act as a general-purpose chatbot. It does not answer maths, trivia, news, coding, homework, shopping, or other unrelated questions. Brief pleasantries are welcome, but replies stay focused on feelings, emotional wellbeing, personal therapy, mental health, and psychology.
